XR Medical Collaboration

Illinois receives $7.1 million of the $17 million from the NSF for developing remote XR medical collaborative systems. CS professor and Lead PI Brighten Godfrey is joined by Co-PI CS professor Sarita Adve. Illinois is the lead institution on the award, collaborating with the IMMERSE: Center for Immersive Computing and Carle Illinois College of Medicine, as well as industry partners including MediView, Peraton Labs, T-Mobile, Qualcomm and Cisco.
